Together hires new business development manager

Specialist lender Together has appointed Gemma Roberts as a business development manager covering the North of England.

Gemma, who has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, was previously a senior telephony sales relationship manager at the Manchester-based lender.

She said:

“I’ve been given a great opportunity to expand Together’s presence in the North at what is an exciting time for the business as a whole.

It has always been an ambition of mine to be out in the field, and I’m really looking forward to meeting our broker partners face-to-face and building up a really strong rapport with them.”

The new BDM started her career at the former Northern Rock bank, as a mortgage adviser before moving into a business development role.

She then took moved to a BDM position with Santander, spending six years there. Gemma returned to Together following a short stint working for a specialist bridging lender.

In her new role, Gemma will cover a huge area of the country from the North East to the north Midlands. She will report to Paula Purdy, the lender’s Head of Sales for the North.
