A high-end property entrepreneur has unveiled the first of Cheshire’s “most luxurious apartments” set to go on the market with a price tag of more than £2 million.

The beautiful contemporary apartments, next to the prestigious Prestbury Golf Club in Macclesfield Road, have been designed and built by Prestbury Estates with a development finance facility from Cheadle-based property lender Together.

Once it’s completed, the exclusive development of six apartments – including two penthouses – will go on the market for between £2m and £2.5m – making them among the most expensive flats in the North of England.

The apartments range from 2,500sq ft to 2,750sq ft and have high-tech security such as fingerprint recognition door locks, and stylish design features including Italian-manufactured doors and state of the art German kitchens and bathrooms.

Simon Kimble, founder and CEO of Prestbury Estates, described the apartment complex, expected to be completed in June, as “the best of the best.”

He said: “The apartments are probably some of the most luxurious in the North.

The architect has managed superbly well to bring together a mix of contemporary and traditional design which works so impressively in the stunning setting.

“It’s in a leafy part of Cheshire, next to one of England’s top golf clubs, so using all modern materials wouldn’t have been appropriate.

That’s why we’ve used all traditional materials; brick, slate and timber, but with ultra-modern interiors, so they all marry together to create an outstanding finish.”

Residents will enter the 1.5-acre south-west facing Fairways site along a drive leading up to the golf club, which has been named among the 100 best in England, up to the development, which has been designed to resemble an elegant three-storey home.

Each luxury three-bedroom apartment will have secure basement parking spaces. The living area features a huge open-plan kitchen and dining area with large floor-to-ceiling triple glazed windows and doors opening up onto a substantial balcony.

In addition, the residences all feature Spanish-tiled en-suite bathrooms and the latest technology including underfloor heating, automated alarm, surround sound speakers, plus a curtain and lighting system.

“Fairways is designed to appeal to a whole host of buyers, including businessmen and women who typically own a considerably-sized house and are looking to downsize to a more manageable apartment,” Mr Kimble said.

“However, they don’t want to compromise too much on space and still need to accommodate friends and family when they visit.”

He added: “The market for this kind of development is strong. If you want a large apartment, there’s nothing else currently available in Cheshire that I’m aware of.”

Fairways is the fourth project by Prestbury Estates funded by Together, which launched a £150 million fund last month to help SME developers provide thousands more homes across the UK.

Together, which has a £6.8 billion loan book, has previously provided finance for the high-end developer to build the Windswood apartment scheme in Bowden, near Altrincham, luxury serviced apartments in George Street, Alderley Edge and Canal Wharf House in Castlefield, Manchester.

Mark Woolley, who manages the relationship between Together and Prestbury Estates, said:

“Having worked with Simon Kimble and his team over many years, we were in no doubt this would be an incredibly high-quality development carrying substantial buyer demand.

We’ve built up a really strong partnership and share Simon’s enthusiasm and ambition to provide some of the finest new apartments in the region.

The Prestbury Estates development is near to Manchester Airport and within walking distance of Prestbury village and part of the Golden Triangle, an area of wealthy towns and villages in Cheshire known for its incredible houses which sit among spectacular countryside.

Unsurprisingly given its location, one of the Fairways apartments has already sold and we’d expect huge demand for the remaining properties from clients looking for a modern and exclusive turnkey property in this beautiful part of the country.”
