Bridging lender Tuscan Capital has announced the appointment of a new regional manager for the Midlands.

To be based in its recently-opened central Birmingham office, Amjad Ibn Abdul, pictured, reports directly to Colin Sanders, Tuscan Capital’s CEO, and is responsible for developing broker relationships and new business streams emanating from the Birmingham area and its regional hinterland.

Before joining Tuscan Capital, Ibn Abdul worked both as a broker with intermediary firm Finance4Business and, more recently, for two specialist short-term lending firms, Alternative Bridging and Proplend.

The lender said that Ibn Abdul’s primary duties include the preparation of credit papers in a timely and thorough fashion whilst serving as the client relationships manager – and first point of contact – for Midlands-based intermediaries.

Sanders said:

“With a family home and deep roots in Birmingham, Amjad knows the Midlands area intimately and is well-connected with the local real estate and developer communities.

We believe that the region he covers offers superb growth opportunities for on-the-ball bridging specialists, whether lenders or introducers.

By appointing Amjad to this new and challenging role, we’re investing further in an area in which we have already demonstrated our faith following the successful opening last year of our central Birmingham office, the first of our regional hubs outside London.”
