Together hires Fourie as North West corporate relationship director

Property lender Together has appointed a new Corporate Sales Director for the North West as it expands its distribution in key regions.
Melanie Fourie, who has 30 years experience in the financial services industry, re-joins Together, having previously worked at the Manchester-based lender between 2018 and 2021.
In her new role, Mel will focus on expanding her vast network, building strong relationships with professional sector introducers, SMEs, investors and entrepreneurs across the region as Together continues to grow its £7.6 billion loan book.

Mel joins Together from privately-owned commercial lender ASG Finance, where she had been an Executive Director and board member for two years. Before that, she had been Head of Sales for the North at property finance firm Sancus Lending Group.

Previously, undertaking National development Director and Head of Affiliates at Together and before that was a strategic partnership manager at SME lending platform RateSetter, a regional development manager in the corporate and commercial sectors for Funding Circle.
The experienced finance professional spent more than 13 years as a Regional business manager for Barclays, where she was involved in Retail, Private banking, corporate banking and business banking, delivering funding to clients across the North West, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Mel, who lives in Rossendale, has provided foster care for children over many years and is a trustee of ‘The Georgia Fourie Butterfly Fund’ housed at Holly Grove School for children with special needs in Burnley.
With her husband Tim, a former South African professional rugby player, she has raised tens of thousands of pounds for the school through the fund, set up in memory of their daughter who passed away aged nine.
