SDKA expands underwriting team

SDKA have continued to enjoy a successful year of deal completions resulting in the expansion of the team, which has doubled in size this year alone and has secured £60m of additional funding from multiple wholesale and institutional funders.

The latest recruit to the team is Jack Bond, an experienced underwriter, which due to continued growth of the underwriting team has resulted in the position of head of underwriting being created which the company is thrilled that Chris Edwards has accepted.

Joining from another specialist lender where he was an underwriter for 6 years, Jack brings his experience of the role within the industry and as such is able to hit the ground running for the fast pace of decision making at SDKA.

Jack is responsible for working with brokers and clients to see deals to completion, in a fast and efficient manner.

Jack commented:

“I am looking forward to applying my existing experience as an Underwriter to my new role at SDKA.

I want to help SDKA achieve their long-term targets of growing the loan book and overall stature of the business within the market. I am excited by the growth plans that SDKA have.”

As head of underwriting, Chris will be responsible for managing and overseeing the underwriting team, ensuring that the team adheres to the risk appetite as directed by senior management and managing case volumes across the team.
