Hope Capital raises over £6,000 for North West Cancer Research

Hope Capital has announced it has raised over £6,000.00 for North West Cancer Research via various fundraising methods.
In May, the lender joined forces with North West Cancer Research, with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the charity through their fundraising scheme: The £50 Challenge.
Over the course of the last few weeks, the team at Hope Capital were split into five groups, given £50 each and competed against each other to see who could raise the most money via their fundraising campaigns, to support the charity’s pioneering research.
Earlier this week, each team showcased their hard work and presented their campaigns to a panel of VIP judges. The judging lineup included Alastair Richards, Chief Executive Office from North West Cancer Research, Kirsty Shields, Operations Director from Financial Reporter and Brad Armstrong, Partner and Solicitor from MSB.
Kate Cowan, Chief Financial Officer at Hope Capital commented:
“From raffles with very impressive prizes, to a comedy night, bake sale, tuck shop, beat the goalkeeper and so much more, we have been so impressed with how the team have supported this idea and raised so much money for a charity which is very close to our hearts.
I’d like to extend my thanks once again to Alastair, Brad and Kirsty for being a part of our day.
A special thank you to the team at MSB for their generosity and support in helping us raise vital funds for this fantastic cause.
We’re over the moon to raise over £6,000.00 in such a short period of time and hope this will make a big difference in supporting the charity’s work in the North West region.”
As well as supporting North West Cancer Research, Hope Capital works with various local businesses and individuals to give back to the community.
This includes their long running support of the Sunshine Group breast cancer charity, where they surpassed £18,000.00 in donations earlier this year, as well as working with local food and anti-poverty charities, such as The Whitechapel Centre.
Alastair Richards, Chief Executive Officer at North West Cancer Research, added:
“It was fantastic to visit the Hope Capital office and hear all about each team’s efforts in raising money for North West Cancer Research.
It was clear there had been a lot of hard work, innovation and dedication put into each campaign, and we wholeheartedly appreciate their support.
The £50 Challenge is open to any business of any size, and we’re always looking work with organisations who’d like to not only support the charity, but also look for an opportunity to bring their team closer together.”
