Butterfield Mortgages Limited hires new Business Development Director

Butterfield Mortgages Limited (BML) has hired David Gwyther as its new Business Development Director.

Mr. Gwyther has more than 36 years’ experience in the banking sector, including roles at Barclays Bank, Butterfield Private Bank and EFG Private Bank. He has vast knowledge of the residential mortgage market and, in particular, the borrowing requirements of high net‐ worth (HNW) individuals.

Part of the Butterfield Group, BML is a prime property mortgage provider with a focus on the needs of local and international HNWs. Mr Gwyther joins the London‐based lender to enhance its credit solutions, forge new relationships with intermediaries, and assist the company’s sales team.

Mr. Gwyther started his career in the finance industry in 1982, with previous positions including Head of Credit Risk and Assistant Credit Director.
