West One ladies run for charity

We would like to pass on our congratulations to the West One ladies team who did everyone proud at the weekend after taking part in the 5K Race For Life event in St. Albans and raising over £2,600 for Cancer Research in the process.

Wearing a fetching selection of tutu’s and fairy wings, the girls clocked up some very respectable times with Hayley completing it in 30 minutes, Fran in 42 minutes and Suzii and Anita in 55 minutes.

Cancer Research UK are the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.

They’ve saved millions of lives with their groundbreaking work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. People’s chances of surviving cancer have doubled in the last 40 years, and Cancer Research UK have been at the heart of that progress.

But more than one in three of us will still get cancer at some point. Cancer Research UK’s vital work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that millions more people survive.
