We speak to Senior Underwriter and Loans manager, Prabhat Talwar:

What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?

It’s the speed and complexity for sure, no bridging case is the same, each brings its own challenges.

What keeps you focused?

The desire of over achieving, I aim to deliver excellent service and do ever faster bridges, it is what keeps me focused.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

I am a team player and I look for the same quality in my colleagues, I believe with unity no challenge is too difficult. Recently we have gotten several cases completed within 5 days and that has really been down to good teamwork.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

I would say neither, I am a realist and I believe in realism as it’s an accurate representation of the truth.

What did you want to be as a child?

A cricketer for sure, I was born in an Asian household where cricket was the hot conversation topic most evenings.

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?

As we enter into Q4 and head towards what seems to be another lockdown, I feel property sales will be challenged and that may reduce developer appetite for newer developments in the coming months.

Who or what makes you laugh?

I find stereotypical comedy hilarious, Paul Chowdary has to be one of my favourite comedians.

Do you dread Monday mornings?

Never, I look forward to the week and any challenges which present themselves.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I am happy in myself to be honest and, world events notwithstanding, am feeling positive about the future.

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

Cricketer MS Dhoni, he is one of the best leaders and I would love to converse and learn more about his leadership style and strategies to overcome challenges.
