What is the best thing about being in the bridging and development finance business?
You’re always working on something new, whether it’s helping clients unlock quick funding or seeing a project come to life.
It’s very rewarding to be a part of making things happen fast, especially when the stakes are high, and the results are visible.
Plus, it’s a super dynamic field and I love a challenge!
What keeps you focused?
What keeps me focused is having clear long-term goals in mind.
Also, having clear goals and knowing that every day is a step toward something bigger keeps me motivated.
Staying organised and breaking things down into smaller tasks helps too, it keeps me on track without getting overwhelmed.
And, of course, the excitement of seeing things come together.
What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?
Teamwork is key, being able to collaborate, support each other, and bring diverse skills to the table makes a big difference.
Are you an optimist or a pessimist?
Optimist.
What did you want to be as a child?
A footballer, all I’m saying is you’ve never seen me and Ronaldo in the same room.
What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging and development finance industry in the coming months?
With rising costs and shifting market conditions, clients are being more cautious, which is affecting demand.
As inflation continues to impact construction costs and property values fluctuate, borrowers may delay or rethink projects, leading to slower deal flow.
Who or what makes you laugh?
My team always keeps me laughing.
The way we support each other, even when things get stressful, they help lighten the mood.
Do you dread Monday mornings?
NO!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’d change my long legs because it’s always a struggle to find trousers that actually fit.
With whom would you most like to have dinner?
José Mourinho. Because I reckon, I could persuade him to manage Chelsea again.
