We speak to head of business development, Tracey North:
What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?
The fast pace and the fact that no two days or deals are the same.
What keeps you focused?
Ensuring we deliver for the client and working together with all parties to get the deal done.
What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?
I think it’s essential to work together as a team and to be able to have a laugh along the way.
Are you an optimist or a pessimist?
I always look on the bright side and look for the good in any situation.
What did you want to be as a child?
An Air Hostess – I always loved to travel.
What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?
The ongoing trade negotiations with the EU – and their eventual outcome – could have a big impact on the market. Having plans in place to manage any scenario will be vital.
Who or what makes you laugh?
Modern Family, the American sitcom – there are so many similarities with our own family life I can’t help but laugh.
Do you dread Monday mornings?
Workwise no, but I do dread getting on the scales if I’ve had a weekend of indulgence!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I’d love to be able to sing – I’m actually tone deaf and drive my family mad when I join in my favourite songs because obviously, I think I sound great.
With whom would you most like to have dinner?
Tom Cruise – he had me at hello!
