What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?

You see new challenges everyday

What keeps you focused?

Self Discipline, the will to win and be the best at what we do

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

Honesty, loyalty & integrity. Some of my team have been with me almost fifteen years for exactly these reasons.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

I like to think neither. More of a realist.

What did you want to be as a child?

A pilot of all things

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?

There is certainly a lot of activity in the marketplace, if sometimes not a lot of experience.

Regulation has to be a consideration for serious lenders, as well as the uncertainty in the property marketplace, for lenders who rely on sale of asset as a viable redemption route to a bridge, as we nearly always do

Who or what makes you laugh?

My son, my wife, Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy, amongst other things

Do you dread Monday mornings?

Never, I’m a workaholic

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Be more tolerant -so I’m told

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

Male or female ? I could give an endless list of females, but my wife would say I am dreaming. She is probably right.
