We speak to regional business development manager, David Melville:

What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?

The best thing about being in this business is helping people get the “Job Done”.

For our economy to grown business need to know that there is a capability to source finance fast and efficiently because in today’s world business is so fluid, services like ours make that possible.

What keeps you focussed?

Knowing that every day is different, and new opportunities are out there for me to take advantage of.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

Honesty, Trust and a Competitive Nature

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

Well I’m Scottish so pessimism has been ingrained in me from a child, but I would say I do look for the silver lining in most things.

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?

The industry as a whole needs to continue to strive towards becoming cohesive and user friendly. Portraying itself as a genuine and interesting financing option for property developers and property professionals in the market.

I’m still young! So Monday is the day to get as much done as possible.

My inability to dance like a normal human.
