Y3S Bridging & Commercial are an experienced packager providing short & long term finance, who have dedicated experts who offer tailor-made bridging & commercial finance options for clients of their financial intermediaries.

Since launch back in February this year Y3S Bridging & Commercial have become one of the biggest bridging packagers in the UK, and have seen record levels of business placed with them each and every month.

We speak to director, Andrew Gage:

What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?

I am sure people have already said this but every day is never the same, you are faced with different challenges, and different scenarios each and every day.

I especially enjoy large cases that are complex but to see the deal through from start to completion is very satisfying.

What keeps you focussed?

To keep Y3S growing and to offer introducers and clients that something else to what are competitors do. There are a few things on the horizon for us next year which we hope will give us that competitive edge.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

To be in this industry you need to be confident and knowledgeable at what you do, I like to see my employees express a good professional manner at all times and provide a great service for our clients.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

More optimist than pessimist I would say. I am someone who believes things always happen for a reason.

What did you want to be as a child?

Superman and still do, I have all the superman films even have a superman wallet and before you say it no I do not have the outfit (yet).

However if your talking about realistic careers, I wanted would you believe to be a nurse as my mother and father are both nurses now.

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?

Bridging Finance is probably one of the most talked about sectors in the industry at the moment.

With the way normal lending avenues are still restricted; bridging will go on getting bigger and bigger. The challenge is not only providing our introducers with the best deals and packages available.

It is also getting the message across that bridging is not the last resort as it is perceived at the moment. There are a number of great deals and lenders out there all doing great products.

For us it’s continuing providing an already exceptional service but also letting our introducers and client know what is available.

Who or what makes you laugh?

My children they are so comical and always making me laugh I have a 6 year old and 2 year old, otherwise the comedian Jason Byrne the faces he pulls have me creasing everytime.

Do you dread Monday mornings?

Depends on the weekend before but generally don’t like any mornings.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Well there would be more than one thing that’s for sure. However if I could change anything about myself, it would be probably listen a bit more to what people are saying as I do switch off like Homer Simpson at times.

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

Firstly my wife ha-ha otherwise always had a thing for Drew Barrymore
