What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?

For me I really enjoy discussing schemes and finding ways to structure deals. Also, every scheme I see is different which means there’s never 2 days the same.

What keeps you focused?

I’m a self-motivated person, I also have a real keen interest in property too, so being able to discuss schemes every day with different people is something I really enjoy.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

Loyalty, respect, integrity, selfless commitment and courage.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

Optimist.

What did you want to be as a child?

A Ninja Turtle or one of the Power Rangers……still do!!

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?

Probably valuations. With all the uncertainty and along with the pandemic, valuations are certainly the one thing we all hold our breaths over.

All lenders want to lend, but often the valuation can be the difference between doing and not doing the loan.

Who or what makes you laugh?

I love a bit of Only Fools and Horses.

Do you dread Monday mornings?

Absolutely not, Monday’s are the best days of the working week. Fresh from the weekend ready to go again. I dread Tuesday’s!!!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

It would be good to be a little taller maybe…

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

The WBC heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson Fury!!

That guy has been through so much, I think spending dinner with him would be both entertaining and inspirational.
