What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?

Bridging finance is a fast-paced product that requires rapid decisions, flexible and agile criteria which makes the proposition interesting as every case and client’s circumstances are unique.

What keeps you focused?

Having a varied fast paced role keeps me focused and motivated as every day is different with new challenges.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

I look for employees or colleagues I can rely on and have drive and passion to succeed.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

I’m an optimist – I’m a self-motivated individual who will always strive to succeed and deliver even when up against a challenge.

What did you want to be as a child?

I wanted to be a fireman as I love challenges, working as part of a team to make a positive impact.

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?

Rates offered in the bridging market over the past 12 months have decreased, but the Bank of England base rate has increased in recent months, which has put upward pressure on the base rate, which will potentially squeeze the profitability of bridging lenders unless rates are increased.

Who or what makes you laugh?

Ashley my youngest son – He is 14 going on 24.

Do you dread Monday mornings?

No, I love my job and I’m very passionate about my work and have a great team around me.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

My first thought was to change something physical, and magically drop some weight, but I love my food and a glass of wine or two!!

But I should be more organised and fit exercise into my daily routine!!

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

I would love to have dinner with James Corden as I think he would make good company and make me laugh all evening.
