YBS Commercial expands business development team

YBS Commercial Mortgages has expanded its business development team with a trio of additions, to better support broker engagement and increase the lender’s reach in the market.

Chris Butler and Barry Dillon are leaving their internal roles as relationship directors to join the business development team, and Thomas Mac Donnchadha Hill joins from Accord Mortgages, the intermediary arm of Yorkshire Building Society,  where he worked as a business development manager for 10 years.

The commercial lender’s business development team is the first point of contact for its panel of brokers.

The team’s focus is on delivering a fast turnaround on new lending enquiries and providing dedicated personal support across the product range.

These latest additions will help them build on that commitment.

The new team members have a wealth of knowledge across commercial banking and real estate, with a combined 57 years’ experience of the financial services sector and a vast network of existing broker relationships, allowing them to provide the highest quality support possible to brokers and customers.

They will be working closely with existing members of the business development team, including Mike Davies, head of business development, and fellow business development managers Chris Gagg, Andrea Cotton and Christian Gooderson, and the team will be based across England and Wales to allow them to maintain personal relationships and direct contact with broker partners.

Chris said:

“I am looking forward to interacting with brokers and customers as well as key internal stakeholders to ensure the application journey runs as smoothly as possible, providing the best possible service from enquiry to completion.”

Barry commented:

“I am really excited to be given this opportunity.

With our highly experienced and growing business development team, we have the breadth and scale to ensure that our borrowers receive a best-in-class service at every touchpoint of their journey with us”.

Thomas added:

“I am really excited to further my experience within commercial property finance and utilise my previous skills and contacts within both the sector and the business, to help me to best support our brokers and customers.”

Mike Davies, head of business development for YBS Commercial, said:

“We’re so excited to be growing our business development team to support growth, expand our reach in the market, increase levels of broker engagement and better support colleagues.

This year we’re aiming to grow our broker panel. This recruitment drive supports our ambition in this space, and I am confident that our enhanced team will deliver the excellent levels of support our broker partners have come to expect from us, as an award-winning commercial lender.”
