YBS Commercial appoints Angela Norman as new Head of Lending

YBS Commercial Mortgages has appointed Angela Norman as its new head of lending.

The head of lending role has been developed to design and deliver strategic plans to enhance the support provided for portfolio landlords and owner-occupier smaller businesses, and lead the commercial lender’s ambitious growth plans.

Angela has a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the commercial finance landscape, having worked in the industry for over 25 years.

She also has hands-on experience leading high performing front line teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and developing first-class propositions, previously working as director of strategy and propositions at Recognise Bank, as well as in senior manager roles at Royal Bank of Scotland.

Holding a network of existing sector and strategic broker relationships, together with working at a range of high street and fintech challenger banks, has given her the breadth of experience needed to propel the expansion of YBS Commercial’s business.

She will be leading the regional lending teams and working closely with the regional directors and their teams.

She will be based at the Yorkshire Building Society head office at Broad Gate in Leeds, but will spend much of her time travelling around the country, supporting the regional teams.
