Broker Riqueza Business Solutions is aiming to double the amount of property focused lending it arranges every year after hiring industry expert Sinead Cowgill.

In its 8th year of trading within the Riqueza Group of companies and operating out of The Base, its head office in Warrington, Riqueza Business Solutions aims to broker over £40million of business funding during 2024.

Group founder Carl Oates told Bridging Loan Directory that at least £20 million of that would be property focused lending.

“It will be bridging loans, commercial mortgages and loans secured against property,” Oates explained.

“Property as a fulcrum for lending is becoming more popular.”

He said that the £20m figure was ‘slightly ahead’ of previous property lending levels helped by the recent hiring of vastly experienced property and specialist lending expert Sinead Cowgill.

Sinead is leading the charge, Oates adds, on all UK and international property funding requirements ‘liaising with our first-class funding partners, business owner and property developer clients’.

Oates believes this could power Riqueza Business Solutions to double its property lending figures to around £40million over the next two years.

“We’ve been successfully placing bridging loans; term loans and secured lending requirements across the U.K. for a few years now.

That said, the more complex requirements seemed to be getting successfully placed elsewhere,” Oates said.

“Sinead joining our team, with her blend of underwriting and business development experience, will undoubtedly ensure we are more successful in assisting with more complex legal and underwriting requirements such as deals involving overseas based clients. She’s already shown she can do it.”

He added: “Sinead also brings with her some very strong funder, valuation and legal relationships. I’m delighted Sinead has elected to join us amidst the range of options available to her”.
