Pivot, a bridging and development lender, has its sights set on further growth in 2022 and has brought two senior hires on board to achieve its aims.

Andy Blenkinsop joins as chief risk officer and will chair the firm’s credit committee. Andy Reid will take on the role of sales director.

Together the pair bring almost four decades of experience in the specialist lending sector to their new roles.

Blenkinsop said:

“Pivot has a clear vision and plan to reach new business goals. I’m excited to bring my experience from larger development loans and bridging finance to open up new markets and play a key role in doubling funding to clients.’

Reid added:

“There are impressive growth plans for Pivot over the coming years within the development and bridging sector and I’m looking forward to being instrumental in achieving those expectations through my extensive network of business relationships created over many years.’

Blenkinsop has worked across the real estate industry, including 27 years in total at lending giants Barclays and HBOS.

Before joining Pivot he was a partner at lender Pluto Finance, which he helped establish and for which he continues to act as an external advisor.

Blenkinsop will bring valuable experience in assessing large scale and complex residential and commercial development schemes.

He will help lead work in this area as Pivot is keen to expand further into offering larger development facilities.

Reid, in his new role as sales director at Pivot, will work alongside Vishal Dixit, who continues as head of business development.

Sales strategy, reporting and governance will be managed by Reid, with Dixit focusing on origination activities with Pivot’s external partners.

Reid has a strong track record in sales within banking and real estate lending in particular. He has previously led large sales teams at Interbay, Hampshire Trust Bank, Oblix Capital and TFG Capital.

Pivot CEO Shahil Kotecha welcomed the new hires:

“With Andy Reid and Andy Blenkinsop’s appointments, we have increased our capability, our capacity to lend and our network of partners.

Most importantly, they’re a great fit for the business and look forward to the next chapter of growth together.”
