MERA appoints Paul Bembridge as Financial Director

As part of the real estate finance and investment firm’s plans to become the market’s leading non-bank real estate funder, MERA has appointed Paul Bembridge FCMA, MRICS as Financial Director.

Paul will be responsible for managing MERA’s funding lines, driving growth, and progressing the company’s strategic objectives.

With over two decades’ diverse experience in real estate investment and finance, he brings a vast amount of knowledge and expertise to the team.

Prior to joining MERA, Paul held key positions at Chancerygate Ltd, CBRE Investment Management and SEGRO plc.

He has overseen full accounting and finance functions, managed financial structures for development projects, and provided strategic input into key business initiatives.

During his tenure at SEGRO plc as Finance Director for the European Logistics Partnership, Paul managed crucial business functions across multiple European markets, supported asset growth, and successfully transitioned to an unsecured debt model through bond placements.

His work contributed to the growth of the venture from €1bn to c.€6.5bn assets under management in under seven years whilst generating income returns in excess of 5%.
