iLA has announced the appointment of Jasmine Yusuf as the firm’s first trainee solicitor.

This significant milestone highlights iLA’s dedication to nurturing legal talent and fostering professional growth.

Jasmine’s journey to this role is both inspiring and personal. Originally from Canada, she earned a dual major in psychology and criminology.

However, it was her passion for law that truly shaped her career path. Determined to follow her ambitions, she made the bold decision to move to the UK and earn her LLB at the University of Southampton.

When Jasmine joined iLA as a junior legal assistant, she was eager to prove herself.

Colleagues recall her enthusiasm, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile to assist both clients and team members.

Over time, her dedication and natural aptitude for the law became evident, and she quickly progressed within the firm.

Her promotion to trainee solicitor is a reflection of her resilience, hard work, and the supportive environment that iLA fosters.

“We are delighted to appoint Jasmine as our first trainee solicitor,” said Luke Baldwin, Director and Training Principal at iLA.

“From the moment she joined us, she has brought energy and a fresh perspective to the team.

Her passion for law, combined with her strong analytical skills, makes her an invaluable asset to the firm.

We are proud to support her in this next stage of her career.”

As a trainee solicitor, Jasmine will gain invaluable hands-on experience across multiple legal areas, especially in our core areas of property and finance.

Her background in psychology and criminology provides her with a unique perspective on cases, allowing her to connect with clients on a meaningful level and helping them navigate the legal process with confidence and ease.

She will work closely with iLA’s solicitors, refining her expertise and contributing to iLA’s commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Jasmine said:

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to train at iLA.

Moving to a new country and building my career from the ground up has been challenging, but every step has been worth it.

The support and mentorship I have received at iLA have been instrumental in my growth.

I am excited to continue learning, developing my skills, and supporting our clients through their legal matters every step of the way.”
