HTB appoints Serena Grewal as business development manager for specialist mortgages
Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has announced the appointment of Serena Grewal as business development manager (BDM) for the City of London within its Specialist Mortgages division.
Serena joins HTB from Quantum Mortgages, where she served as the key account manager for the South. Previously, she held mortgage-related roles at various financial institutions including Santander as a BDM, Post Office Money, and NatWest.
With over 16 years in the industry, Serena has a wealth of experience in handling complex buy-to-let scenarios including foreign nationals, limited company and SPV lending, and semi-commercial properties.
In her new role at HTB, Serena will engage with both new and existing broker networks within the City of London, and will report into Andrea Glasgow, sales director for specialist mortgages.
HTB provides professional investors with specialist residential loans up to £25m for limited companies, offshore entities, expats, and foreign nationals, as well as mixed use portfolios and semi-commercial properties.
Serena Grewal, business development manager, Hampshire Trust Bank, commented:
“It is an exciting time to join Hampshire Trust Bank, and I am looking forward to working with the exceptional colleagues in the team, as well as alongside Andrea Glasgow, a fantastic role model within the industry.
HTB is a forward-thinking lender with a strong appetite to lend and has a genuine broker-led approach.
With landlords investing in higher-yielding properties they need a lender who can understand this model and the types of properties. HTB does this superbly, and a great example is its recent entry into the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) market.”
Andrea Glasgow, sales director for specialist mortgages at Hampshire Trust Bank, added:
“With Serena joining our already established sales team, it reaffirms our dedication to understanding and meeting market demands through high quality specialists that can uphold the award-winning service expected from HTB.
Serena will no doubt excel in the role, and I am proud to have her represent the HTB brand and work alongside our broker partners in the City of London region.
This quality hire underlines HTB’s unwavering commitment to championing landlords and property investors with their specialist property finance requirements.”
