Liverpool-based bridging lender, Hope Capital is proud to announce it has amplified the support it provides to the Sunshine Group, a North West based charity which supports women who are going through breast cancer from diagnosis, before, during and after treatment.

Having supported the charity for over seven years, Hope Capital has now given over £18,000 in donations, which includes providing significant financial support in the past 12 months, as well as supporting the Sunshine Group in raising the profile of the charity.

In addition, over 100 hours of marketing support has been provided, which has been instrumental in increasing awareness of the group.

As part of the marketing support provided by the lender, a new website has been designed and now officially launched, which includes a link to a donation page, updates about events which are coming up, information about the charity, how people can get involved and volunteer, as well as much more.

The charity, which is run by breast cancer survivor and volunteer, Ann Coffey, offers emotional and practical support through its monthly meetings at Aintree University Hospital, provides access to free therapy sessions, funds days out for its members and pays for things they need such as post-op bras.

The charity relies solely on donations, which is why funding and awareness about the cause is key to the impact the charity can have on its members.

Jonathan Sealey, CEO at Hope Capital, commented:

“Having supported Ann and the Sunshine Group for seven years now, we are so incredibly proud to have the opportunity to provide further support and help increase awareness about this amazing cause.

I know first-hand how valuable the charity’s contribution has been, which is why I’ve always wanted to make it clear that our door is open to provide help and support whenever needed.

The Sunshine Group has grown significantly over the past few years, so one way we thought we could help ensure this would continue was through boosting awareness of the charity through marketing efforts.

Our team have been working exceptionally hard to deliver a comprehensive, informative and accessible website, which fully outlines the work the charity does and how people can get involved.

The hard work and dedication shown by Ann and the volunteers is invaluable, which is why it’s an absolute privilege to be able to give back and provide support to a team who make such a difference to so many. “

Part of Hope Capital’s commitment to the Sunshine Group involves sponsoring the charity’s annual Sunshine Ball, an event which is predominantly organised for members of the support group.

The sixth annual ball was held at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool towards the end of 2022 and was a great success, with over 240 people in attendance and vital funds raised to support women who have breast cancer.

The Sunshine Ball is set to return this year, with dates soon to be confirmed.

Ann Coffey, Organiser at the Sunshine Group, added:

“We’re so appreciative of Jonathan and the Hope Capital team, especially over the past year when not only have we been blown away by the generosity of their support at the Sunshine Ball and the money donated, but also the time they have offered to help us raise the profile of the work we do.

Hope Capital’s continued support means a great deal and its contribution always has a positive impact on what services we can offer as a charity.”
