Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has strengthened its specialist mortgages broker support team with four new lending managers.

This expansion is part of HTB’s commitment to offering brokers and their clients’ market-leading levels of service, even amidst growing demand for its specialist buy-to-let products.

Laila Perryman joins from brokerage Sirius Group, where she managed lending cases for over three years and became CeMAP-certified.

Edward Shannon joins from United Trust Bank, where he was a relationship manager. Before that, Shannon was lending manager for Recognise Bank and spent over four years at the start-up challenger, Redwood Bank.

The team are further bolstered by Alex Mills, who led inside sales for Australian bank Moula, and Gabriella Csende who has been promoted from lending assessor to lending manager.

The new-look broker support team provides crucial support for getting specialist mortgages cases assessed, packaged and over the line quickly.

The team is the dedicated contact for brokers across any stage of their lending application or case, and work closely with business development managers and underwriters.

Alex Upton, managing director of specialist mortgages, commented:

“Lending managers are the thread in our fabric, intricately weaved into our team to pull together vital information to ensure brokers receive the attentive service they, and their clients, deserve.

And with these four new recruits offering heaps of personality, experience and energy, I’m convinced we’ve found the golden thread to strengthen our fleece.”
