Zenzic Capital (“Zenzic”), the real estate credit and special situations investment manager, has announced that Chris Blowers will be joining as a Senior Advisor as Zenzic continues to substantially expand its lending activity across its property development finance, special situations and Zenzic Estate Planning Service (ZEPS) strategies.

Across his long career Chris has held senior positions at Royal Bank of Scotland, Allied Irish Bank and Investec Bank.

He co-founded Maslow Capital LLP in 2009 and saw the business grow into one of the UK’s leading providers of property development finance.

In March 2024, Zenzic made the key appointment of Simon Brown as Head of Real Estate Development Finance Lending and expanded the team earlier this month with two further hires.

Simon and Chris have previously worked successfully together and their combined experience should prove invaluable in helping Zenzic source and structure a wide variety of transactions with capable and experienced developers across the capital stack.

Since its foundation 10 years ago in 2014, Zenzic has provided debt finance throughout the UK into a number of different sectors including logistics, student accommodation, residential, hotels and leisure.

In January, Zenzic launched a new £500 million UK purpose-built student accommodation strategy, which will invest in existing stock and develop new assets.

Nadine Buckland, CEO of Zenzic Capital, commented:

“Chris is very well known in the industry with an impressive track record of originating and executing deals as well as building successful businesses.

His expertise and insight will be invaluable in supporting Tom and I as we expand our lending activities and secure Zenzic’s position as a leading real estate investment manager.”

Chris Blowers, Senior Advisor to Zenzic Capital, added:

“Zenzic has an outstanding reputation as a straightforward, flexible lender that is well positioned to help SME developers navigate the challenging current macroeconomic environment.

I have known the highly regarded leadership team for many years and believe that they have the opportunity to grow into a leading player in the sector”.
