Blend, the specialist development finance lender, has announced the appointment of property and finance expert David Mill as lending director in its growing lending team.

The arrival of David, who joins from Hampshire Trust Bank and will be based in the firm’s London head office, will help Blend further strengthen its focus on supporting mid-sized UK property developers and building long term relationships with its customer base during a challenging time in the market.

David joins Blend with over 30 years of banking experience, 25 of those years was spent in supporting developers getting homes built through relationship based residential development funding at both high street banks and more recently specialist finance providers.

With extensive knowledge, gained through experience of market cycles, he understands the challenges faced by SME developers in the current climate.

David Alcock, MD at Blend, commented:

“We are incredibly pleased to welcome David to Blend and believe he will bring a wealth of experience to our lending team.

He has an impressive track record working for over 30 years within the development finance market with some of the most prestigious firms in the sector.

Blend was built to be home to incredibly talented and skilled property and finance professionals.

I look forward to working with David to further strengthen Blend’s focus on building long term relationships.”

David Mill, Lending Director at Blend, commented:

“I am excited to join David and the team at Blend which is well-known for its depth of knowledge about development finance, and for its hands on and helpful approach to lending.

The CEO Yann has built a team with world class experienced people, technology infrastructure and flexible funding, but more importantly we have a shared belief in the importance of structuring funding that’s fit for purpose and that suits the specific needs of property projects for developers across the UK.

I am excited about the opportunities in front of us, including our timing, and cannot wait to get started.”
