Graduate Recruitment Scheme

George Leonard and Finlay Yilmaz have become the most recent alumni to join Aspen Bridging’s acclaimed Graduate Recruitment Scheme (GRS).

George achieved a 2:1 in Mathematics at the University of Bristol and, as well as underwriting, he will be using his analytical skills to assist the lender’s Credit Team.

He previously worked for two years as Front of House Team Leader for Nuffield Health in Bristol.

Finlay attended Loughborough University where he attained a 2:1 in Accounting and Financial Management. During his studies he held a part-time leadership role at Levi Strauss’s flagship store in Birmingham.

The appointments bring the number of staff recruited through the GRS to 15, with all joining as Graduate Underwriters which includes a comprehensive internal training programme while gaining immediate experience by supporting the underwriting team and managing their own caseloads under supervision.

Further appointments into the GRS programme will be made before the end of the year to support the lender’s planned growth.

Jack Coombs, Director at Aspen Bridging, said:

“We are particularly proud of our Graduate Recruitment Scheme, through which many of those who joined have become integral, senior members of our team.

George and Finlay have joined in a pivotal year for the business, we are due to announce a major milestone in the coming weeks as our lending book grows year-on-year-on-year.

These are extremely exciting times.”
