Allica Bank, the business bank dedicated to supporting established British businesses, has revised its broker commercial mortgage team, resulting in the promotion of three senior team members.

This strategic move is designed to enhance its support for brokers and their clients, as well as strengthen the bank’s geographical reach as it continues its rapid growth.

Charissa Chang and Stephen Spinks have both been promoted to Head of Broker Sales for Commercial Mortgages in their respective territories.

Charissa, who joined the bank back in 2019, will be responsible for leading Allica’s broker presence in the North and Midlands regions, while Stephen, who has been at Allica since 2020, will lead the South and Central regions.

Michael Mann, who joined Allica in 2021 as a Business Relationship Manager focusing on London and South East, has been promoted to Business Development Director.

The moves come in response to Allica’s significant growth since it first launched to market in early-2020.

Its broker-facing commercial mortgage and specialist care business development teams have expanded from three to 19 colleagues in that time and it has now seen its application run rate increase by approximately £100m per month compared to 2021.

Nick Baker, Chief Commercial Officer at Allica Bank said:

“Charissa, Stephen and Michael have each played key roles in Allica’s rapid growth story to date and will now make an even greater contribution with expanded responsibilities.

Their commitment to supporting our broker partners and their clients with clarity, consistency and collaboration is undeniable, and they richly deserve this recognition of their achievements.

These promotions will enable Allica to provide an even more effective relationship-led experience for our broker partners as we continue to grow.

An element of our service we know brokers value incredibly highly.

I’m proud that Charissa, Stephen and Michael are able to progress their careers further here at Allica Bank and I have no doubt they’ll continue to deliver.”
