Rapid growth at Shawbrook leads to senior appointments to finance team

Shawbrook BankShawbrook Bank has created two new senior roles within its finance team, to support the bank’s ambitious growth targets. The roles of Chief Financial Officer and Group Finance Director have been created from a single role to ensure the Bank’s functions and infrastructure keep pace with its exciting growth strategy.

Tom Wood has joined Shawbrook as Chief Financial Officer to further develop the Bank’s financial risk management capability including balance sheet and financing strategies to manage the Bank’s growth plans. Tom was most recently Finance Director of NBNK Investments plc. and previously Group CFO of Skipton Group.

Nick Fielden, who has developed and built Shawbrook’s finance team since the Bank’s launch in October 2011, has taken on the role of Group Finance Director. Fielden will be responsible for supporting Shawbrook’s business units – savings, commercial lending, asset finance, secured lending and consumer finance – along with the Bank’s day-to-day financial and regulatory management.
