Together expands its commercial team with trio of banking experts

Jon Elliott Bob Stones and Steve Jackson join the commercial team at Together 3Specialist lender Together has expanded its commercial team with a trio of senior appointments boasting a combined total of 93 years’ experience with leading banks.

 Steve Jackson, a financial services professional with more than 29 years’ experience in the sector, joins as regional development director for the North West. Previously head of syndicated lending at Co-operative Bank plc, Steve’s most recent role was bridging finance director at Seneca Partners Limited, where he helped to grow the bridging finance book, primarily for residential or commercial property or land.

Bob Stones, a property and commercial finance specialist, joins Together from his previous role as bank manager at NatWest, where he specialised in real estate finance. He brings 27 years of industry experience to the role and will work as a regional development manager for Yorkshire.

Regional development manager Jon Elliott has also joined Together from his previous role at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he worked for 37 years. A specialist in commercial banking and property, his appointment allows the Cheadle-based lender to expand further across the UK as he takes a post covering London and the South East.

The appointments come as part of Together’s ambitious growth strategy, with the firm looking to capitalise on latest figures which revealed annual new lending to 31 December 2015 at £878m.

Speaking about the company’s impressive expansion, with an increase in staff headcount of 12% in 2015,  commercial director Chris Baguley said: ‘‘With the UK economy forecast to build on the growth delivered in 2015, our commercial department is expanding rapidly to meet the demand for fast and flexible finance, and the opportunities moving forwards are fantastic.
