Signature Private Finance seals deals with charity in Mind
By Bridging Loan Directory
Short-term property finance specialist Signature Private Finance recently presented a cheque for £6,630.65 to support the valuable work undertaken by the firm’s chosen charity, Solihull Mind.
Signature agreed to make a donation for every loan drawn down, starting in March this year, with the amount augmented by the fund-raising efforts of individual team members.
Solihull Mind supports those in the local community living with mental health issues, through a range of services, from counselling and support groups to drop-in music, art and horticulture therapy sessions.
Signature CEO, Tony Gilbertson commented:
“A busy working environment, with lots of enquiries and deals to progress makes it easy to forget those less fortunate, whose lives are impacted by mental health issues.
I have always believed mental health issues cannot be addressed with a tablet or simple pep talk; it is far more complicated and requires the constant specialist help offered by Mind.
It was gratifying to invite David Skerrett from Solihull Mind to our inaugural Golf & Spa Day to receive the cheque on behalf of the charity he represents.
There were many finance brokers present at the after-golf dinner, all of whom were reminded that their efforts to bring short-term property finance deals to the team here at Signature, would not only benefit their clients, but the wider community with a growing donation to Solihull Mind.”
David Skerrett, Trustee Vice Chair at Solihull Mind said:
“Our programmes and support groups are designed to help those living with mental health issues to rebuild their confidence and help them overcome whatever difficulties they may be facing.
Our charity is only able to deliver the support needed, thanks to donations of this nature. It is particularly satisfying when businesses like Signature choose to support local charities that work with people in the community close to their headquarters.
In my experience it is rare for a business to link donations directly to their performance and I only hope more choose to do the same in the future.
The business also chooses to match the individual fund-raising efforts of the individuals within the Signature team, like Hanad Farah who ran the Birmingham 10k in May to raise £360 alone – much appreciated by those in and around Shirley/Solihull who will benefit.
I hope the property market remains buoyant and Signature win more of the short-term property finance deals out there; we need the donations and there’s a lot of people who need our support.”
