Shawbrook’s Commercial Mortgages team presents the latest Strategic Broker Partner to join their Pride – NM Finance Limited.
Max Mace, Managing Director of NM Finance Limited explains his business model and thoughts on joining Shawbrook’s Strategic Panel:
“NM Finance Limited provides independent advice on a range of financial products to residential and commercial customers. We are based in Norwich but operate nationally as a whole of market broker with access to several lenders across buy-to-let, refurbishment loans, bridging finance and more.
“We often find that many of our clients either feel uninspired by what the high street lenders can offer, or their circumstances are more unusual or complex. We pride ourselves on providing customer-focused solutions and one of the lenders we find to be innovative in this space is Shawbrook Bank.
“We’ve worked with Shawbrook since their inception in 2011 and have seen them grow their core business since then, evolving into one of the most popular and influential lenders in the specialist space.
“The Shawbrook products our clients are most interested in vary, though their Simple Residential Investment “RI0” products for buy-to-let are very popular, as is the remainder of their Residential and Commercial product set.
“One case that springs to mind is a recently completed Large Residential Investment loan on Shawbrook’s LRI3 product which our client was thrilled with. The client wished to purchase two adjoining three storey terraced houses in Croydon, and the strategy was to convert the houses into eight self-contained flats (four in each) using a Short Term Loan with a view to moving to a term loan at the end of the short term facility.
“Our client even met the Bank face-to-face to discuss the proposals and to agree a way forward with regard to the term facility once the works were complete. This is one of many examples we see where Shawbrook puts our clients’ interests first. They are always willing to be flexible, personable and available to talk in order to get these more complex cases over the line. They have a strong appetite to lend, even in difficult scenarios and this is appreciated by all of us here at NM Finance Limited.
“One thing I am especially proud of is our specialism in placing unorthodox cases. We consider every application irrespective of a client’s personal circumstances, so a strong relationship with a lender like Shawbrook who doesn’t operate a ‘tick-box’ style approach is really valuable to us.
