MS Lending Group has celebrated its first two years of trading with 100 industry figures at an event in Manchester and vowed that it would keep growing despite tough economic times.

The Cheshire-based lender, which launched in January 2021, hosted a party for funders, brokers and other industry professionals at King Street Townhouse in Manchester city centre.

According to MS Lending, guests were treated to “delicious foods and branded cocktails” such as an Elderflower Exit Strategy and MS Lending Martini. Entertainment came from a local singer, magician and motivational speaker and businessman Gerald Ratner.

In the 22 months since the business was founded by Michael Stratton, MS Lending Group has grown from a one-man band to a team of 12 staff.

Funding over 320 deals and lending over £76 million the group has seen two office moves and received two large institutional funding lines including from investment asset manager Pollen Street Capital.

“We are delighted to finally host our own event for our clients who have been so good to us since the business began. We initially planned to have a launch event but Covid unfortunately got in the way.

I am so glad we waited, and we were able to celebrate our clients, our successes, and also outline our growth plans for the years ahead,” Stratton said.

“We are very aware of the current economic climate, and we have a duty to be lending responsibly. However, because of our strong liquidity, we’re very much looking to continue with our growth and manage existing relationships as well as forge new ones.

The incredible growth of MS Lending Group in such a short space of time would not have been possible without the clients and brokers who have supported the business since its inception.

My favourite phrase is, ‘If you surround yourself with good people, good thinks will happen’, and that’s exactly how I describe life at MS Lending Group.

It is also so important to acknowledge and show huge appreciation for the team we have built over the past two years.

They have been pivotal to our success. We have expanded as the business has required in order to offer the best service possible for our clients. We have the best team in place as we look ahead to 2023.”
