Paul Bashir, President & Chief Operating Officer at Round Hill Capital
Paul brings over 20 years of experience in real estate financial and operational management. His career includes 8 years at KPMG working on global M&A, Restructuring and Transaction Service engagements worldwide. Paul later moved into an operational career, becoming COO at North Bridge Capital Partners. Most recently, Paul was CFO and Partner of a privately-owned UK based real estate asset management business. In recent years, Paul has managed over $2.2bn of transactions in the residential, office and data centre real estate markets in U.K. and Europe. Paul is an ACA and received BA (Hons) from Newcastle-upon-Tyne University.
Birane Diagne, Investment Manager at Round Hill Capital
Birane brings over 10 years of real estate expertise and M&A experience. He focuses on various strategic corporate and investment projects. Birane joined Round Hill from GE Capital where he spent 8 years in M&A, underwriting, risk and asset management. Most recently, he worked on the sale of over $10bn real estate assets (both debt and equity transactions) across Europe as well as on the disposal and securitization of a $4bn European bank. Birane has also managed the restructuring of over $2bn complex European real estate loan post-crisis. Birane holds a MSc in Management from ESCP Europe.
Peter Holden, Group Development Director at Round Hill Capital
Peter was employed by Arcadis NV (formerly EC Harris LLP) as Global Head of Investment and Development Consultancy where he established a world class team of development managers to meet the needs of existing clients. Peter and his teams advised investors, banks and landowners on all aspects of development and risk. He chaired the Arcadis’ Investment Committee which worked closely with investor clients focused on alternative residential asset classes such as student housing, hospitality and PRS housing. Prior to this Peter was Founder Director at Creywell Ltd, an Asset and Development Management consultancy firm, focused on repositioning distressed assets. Peter also spent 7 years as Development Director at Hines UK Ltd, a private equity and family office global property investor and developer. Peter is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Andrea Corsale, Senior Vice President at Round Hill Capital
Andrea brings 16 years of real estate experience to Round Hill Capital. Andrea is responsible for the firm’s European investment strategy in alternative accommodation and commercial asset classes, he has also held the position of Head of Italy for Round Hill Capital since 2018. From 2004 to 2006 he was the Asset Manager of a closed-end real estate fund managed by Pirelli RE SGR. From 2006 to 2009 Andrea was a Director at Tishman Speyer and prior to that served as Director in the company’s Acquisitions and Fund Management division. Recently, he was a partner in the structured finance team of Chalkhill Partners and Managing Director of Brecon Capital, a UK focused investment management company. Andrea holds a Masters in Economics from Bocconi University.
Phil Edwards, Director at Real Estate Advisors
Phil brings over 40 years of Corporate Banking experience, including over 20 years of Real Estate expertise with a focus on the residential development sector. His career includes over 30 years with RBS/NatWest where he undertook several deal origination roles in Real Estate, before setting up a REF team in the Thames Valley in 2002. Phil joined the Barclays Corporate REF team in 2010 where he originated and managed transactions of c£1bn and, prior to his retirement in 2017, was Head of Real Estate for the South East and East of England. Phil now runs his own Real Estate Advisory firm where he works closely with residential developers on debt structuring and transactional matters.
