Local celebrity, Tom Brady of Sale Sharks, joined the staff volunteers to cover the 80 dedicated phone lines donated by the company as Comic Relief took over screens across the nation.

As well as taking donation calls, the volunteers put the fun into fundraising by taking part in a superhero fancy dress competition and a dance off. The company raised over £1,764 in total throughout the day with additional activities including bake sales, quizzes, eating competitions and hamper raffles.

Red Nose Day comes along every two years and combines two very British things: having a laugh and helping others. Thanks to the generosity of the great British public, Comic Relief has raised over £960million which has gone towards changing the lives of people in the UK and across Africa.

The money raised by the public helps people living unimaginably tough lives, both at home in the UK and Africa.
