Avamore Capital has announced that it has hired Dyan Letts, pictured, as a Senior Underwriter. Dyan joins the company with 35 years’ worth of property and banking experience and will primarily be working alongside Phil Gould, Senior Underwriter and Amit Majithia, Principal at Avamore.

The appointment of another Senior Underwriter for Avamore comes following a strong year to date. The lender crossed £100m worth of funding in April 2019 and, since then, has also surpassed its total 2018 lending figure. Avamore expects that its loan book will continue to grow with its key products, the Finish & Exit and 6.5% p.a. Conversion Product.

Dyan has been involved in residential development funding and real estate banking since the early 1990s, working alongside renowned companies such as Westpac Banking Corporation, Hypo Bank (Bayerische Hypotheken und Wechsel Bank AG), Amresco UK and Savills. Dyan’s most recent role at BLG Development Finance, as the Credit Operations Director, saw her manage and execute a range of legal underwriting practices. Dyan brings long term and incredibly detailed experience to the team at Avamore.

Amit Majithia, Principal, at Avamore Capital commented:

“We are incredibly excited to have Dyan join the team; she is bringing a huge amount of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the business. As Avamore’s loan book expands and the market becomes increasingly challenging Dyan will be fundamental in ensuring sustainable growth for the wider business. Dyan’s detailed approach to transactions aligns with the Avamore ethos of always conducting careful and thorough due diligence whilst also being commercial in the right situations. Both Phil and I are very much looking forward to working alongside Dyan.”

Dyan Letts added:

“Joining the team at Avamore is a great pleasure. The market continues to present a great deal of uncertainty and so I am particularly looking forward to supporting Avamore borrowers in tackling some of the key challenges which they may face over the coming months with another anticipated political shift. I am also excited to learn more about the Finish & Exit product and getting to grips with its intricacies and, hope that I can be involved in future product innovation at Avamore.”

The Avamore team now stands at 16 members and has more than doubled in size over the past 18 months. The firm plans to maintain a sustainable level of growth which reflects its strong and stable loan book.
