What is the best thing about being in the bridging and development finance business?
The best thing is helping clients access quick, flexible funding to move projects forward.
It’s rewarding building strong relationships with clients and our brokers and being a part of the client’s growth.
What keeps you focused?
What keeps me focused is just knowing what I’m working towards and seeing the progress along the way!
What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?
A positive attitude goes such a long way! It makes the team stronger and work better, and someone with a sense of humour, it keeps the vibe positive!
Are you an optimist or a pessimist?
I would say I’m an optimist, but I always plan for the unexpected too – in this industry anything can happen!
What did you want to be as a child?
Honestly, I didn’t really know. I was curious about a lot of things and just enjoyed exploring different interests.
But since working in the bridging and finance industry I truly enjoy it. The fast paced and problem-solving nature of the work keeps me engaged and motivated.
What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging and development finance industry in the coming months?
I think the ongoing economic instability, this can lead to reduced investor confidence and a slowdown in property transactions, affecting the demand for bridging finance.
Who or what makes you laugh?
I find myself laughing every day! Especially people being ridiculous, funny videos, or just life being unpredictable!
Do you dread Monday mornings?
No, not at all. I enjoy Monday mornings.
A morning routine of training and walking my dog helps me start the week focused and energised.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I tend to overthink decisions at times, so I need to work on trusting my instincts more.
With whom would you most like to have dinner?
I’d love to have dinner with Lionel Messi.
Just to hear about his journey, what motivates him and maybe get some tips on how to stay so consistent at the top level!
