We speak to Head of Sales, James Moore:

What is the best thing about being in the development finance business?

Regentsmead lends its own capital, we can make a decision in minutes which gives our clients a decision immediately. Our service is 2nd to none.

What keeps you focussed?

Knowing experienced guys who have the capability of doing what they say but have been let down by the usual suspects and being in a fortunate position to not only help them but build a real business relationship for the future.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

Knowledge, honesty and professionalism

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

110% Optimist

What did you want to be as a child? 

Professional footballer

What will be the greatest challenge facing the development finance industry in the coming months?

The European Union is the biggest threat to the lending and will be here for a few years due to our current exposure to Europe .

Who or what makes you laugh?

Billy Connolly, Peter Kay, Only Fools and Horses and one of my favourites is Peter Sellars in the Pink Panther films – GENIUS

Do you dread Monday mornings?

I’m really grateful for the fact that I love what I do and always have, if it was a chore I wouldn’t be here. I have no intention of spending a third of my life being in a job that is not satisfying and fulfilling.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Have better IT skills…….

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

Nelson Mandela, an incredible example of a humanity.
