Danny Power - Bridge Help

Bridgebank Capital are one of the UK’s leading property finance lenders in the area of Bridging and Short Term property finance, specialising in residential and commercial property transactions.

We speak to business development manager, Danny Power:

What is the best thing about being in the bridging finance business?

The sheer diversity of the type and size of applications I see. No two days are ever the same even for an “old stager” like me! The flow of new business keeps me driven.

What keeps you focussed?

Working in a result focussed business development team with experienced and knowledgeable colleagues aiming to give the best service levels possible.

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

Teamwork and a desire to achieve team goals. Also the ability not to take themselves too seriously!

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

The glass is definitely half full!

What did you want to be as a child?

Older – funny how things change!

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging finance industry in the coming months?

Maintaining market share in an environment of many new entrants.

Fortunately Bridgebank Capital is well prepared and will not only maintain its share but expand it through exceptional service and marketing campaigns.

Who or what makes you laugh?

Spike Milligan – manic and off the wall, his memoirs still make me laugh out load.

Do you dread Monday mornings?

No. I never have. I enjoy what I do – by 7am Mondays I’m usually out on the road to visit brokers.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would love my waist measurement to be smaller than my chest measurement again!

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

Berry Gordy – Head of Motown Records. Consummate businessman and market builder responsible for some incredible music.
