We speak to owner, Andy Fairclough:

What is the best thing about being in the bridging & development finance business?

Every deal is different, but I build long lasting strategic relationships with introducers and clients, so it helps create well thought out funding solutions that covers off all risks.

What keeps you focused?

My teenage daughter and her ever increasing requirements!

What qualities do you look for in your employees or colleagues?

Tenacity and loyalty to client and our team

Are you an optimist or a pessimist?

Optimist, I have been working on projects self-employed since 2003 and have seen a few economic cycles. Talented people and great projects always come good.

What did you want to be as a child?

RAF fighter Pilot, my mother’s uncle was a Spitfire pilot and she named me after him.

What will be the greatest challenge facing the bridging & development finance industry in the coming months?

Coping with the “B” bubble. There are many projects waiting to go. Funders that will win, must have customer service and a long term attitude to the market at the core of their culture

Who or what makes you laugh?

Apart from politicians at the moment, a good dose of Blackadder.

Do you dread Monday mornings?

No, just another day to make hay.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Better eyesight, might have made it OK in RAF then!

With whom would you most like to have dinner?

Winston Churchill, say no more.
