By Bridging Loan Directory

Word On The Street, award-winning UK specialist property finance brokerage, has appointed Jack Medlicott to its Board of Directors as a shareholder.
The promotion follows Jack’s ten-month tenure as Partner, during which his legal and operational expertise helped steer the firm to reach 202 completions, and nearly £90 million in gross loan amount year-to-date (YTD).
Jack brings over 15 years of experience in the legal and property sectors, specifically within the bridging and development space.
Before joining Word On The Street, he held senior roles including Partner at MSB and Associate Director at PLS Solicitors, where he managed lending books exceeding £200m for institutional PLCs and HNW family offices.
His appointment reinforces the firm’s comprehensive service offering across bridging finance, development, buy-to-let, and commercial finance, ensuring expert-led execution across all specialist lending sectors.
At Word On The Street, he has leveraged this background to revolutionise internal underwriting workflows, effectively bridging the gap between legal due diligence and high-speed brokerage.
This appointment follows a standout year for the brokerage, recently named BTL Mortgage Broker of the Year at the 2026 Business Moneyfacts Awards.
Michael Street, Founding Partner at Word On The Street, comments:
“Jack has had a transformative impact on the way we operate, bringing a level of structure and discipline that is rare in our industry.
His support and stewardship have helped us become more efficient and better equipped to build a genuinely sustainable business.
Co-founder Jasmine and I are incredibly grateful for Jack’s contribution. Promoting him to the board and awarding him a shareholding reflects the rare alignment of values, work ethic, and judgment he has consistently demonstrated.
The trust we have developed is one of a kind.”
