Roger Comben appointed Head of Lending at Zenzic Development Finance

Zenzic Development Finance (“ZDF”), the development finance subsidiary of real estate credit investment firm Zenzic Capital, has appointed Roger Comben as Head of Lending.

Roger brings significant property and development finance experience to Zenzic having spent over 20 years in various roles within the sector.

He joins ZDF from Clearwell Capital where he spent six years as Head of Loan Origination in their Development Finance division.

Prior to this he held senior roles at a number of other businesses including Maslow Capital, United Trust Bank and Nationwide Building Society.

Responsible for deal origination through to execution and post investment monitoring, Roger will lead ZDF’s seasoned team, which is ideally placed to support experienced and capable developers across the UK.

He will report into Zenzic Capital’s co-founder and Chief Investment Officer, Thomas Lloyd-Jones.

ZDF’s offering is focused on residential-led schemes where it provides SME housebuilders and developers up to 75% loan-to-GDV Stretch Senior Development Finance.

ZDF targets lower to mid-market ticket sizes of between £2 million and £20 million, which is a segment that has seen significant retrenchment from clearing banks in recent years.

Following a strong 2025, ZDF has already completed two deals since January, including providing £24 million to fund the creation of a new luxury holiday resort in Oxfordshire.

With another £10 million of financing already credit-approved and a strong pipeline of additional projects progressing, ZDF is on track for a record year in 2026.
