Octane Capital has announced the hiring of three new staff members across its sales and credit functions.

Andrew Becker joins as a Senior Structured Finance Manager to bolster Octane’s Structured Finance Team, who look after larger, typically more complex transactions.

Andrew joins from Investec Bank, where he was involved in structuring high-debt quantum deals on behalf of entrepreneurs, business owners, and property professionals.

Andrew will work alongside Rick Hollingsworth, Octane’s Head of Short Term Credit, and Jamie Oxley, Senior Structured Finance Manager.

Zsofia Holbling and Alex Thompson have joined as Internal Business Development Managers, taking the sales team to 12 in total.

Zsofia joined from Capricorn Financial Consultancy, where she spent 6 years in a variety of roles, most recently as a mortgage advisor dealing with complex new business enquiries.

Alex was previously a commercial officer at Fundspace; an online specialist-lending sourcing platform, where he worked alongside a number of lenders and brokers to help deliver terms quickly.

Rick Hollingsworth, Head of Short Term Credit, commented:

“In recent years, our appetite for larger loans has grown and Andrew’s experience in structuring complex deals will be an asset to our Structured Finance Team.”

Richard Deacon, Managing Director of Sales, commented:

“In Zsofia and Alex, we have brought valuable talent onboard; they have strong knowledge of the specialist lending space and are welcome additions to our sales team.

The Internal Business Development Managers are an essential part of our sales cycle; ensuring brokers receive responses to their enquiries quickly, and I’m sure Zsofia and Alex will add value as we scale.”
