London-based bridging lender Lakeshield has strengthened its broker-facing team with the appointment of two new Business Development Managers, as it continues to expand regional coverage and support intermediaries with fast, pragmatic lending decisions.

Sophia Lee and Robin Bruce join the business to support brokers across residential, commercial and refurbishment bridging finance enquiries, working closely with Lakeshield’s credit and underwriting teams to provide clear guidance and timely outcomes.

Robin Bruce joins from SevernRise Lending and will focus on brokers across the South West. He brings broad market experience, having previously worked at Property Finance Group and run his own brokerage and development company, giving him a strong understanding of both intermediary and borrower needs.

Sophia Lee joins from Avamore Capital and will cover London and the South East. With previous experience at Cynergy Bank and NatWest, she brings established broker relationships and a strong background in property finance.

Daniel Rodney, Co-Founder of Lakeshield, said:

“Growing our business development team is central to how we support brokers.

Sophia and Robin both bring the experience and commercial mindset we value, helping us stay accessible, responsive and clear in how we lend across key regions.”

Robin Bruce said:

“Having worked as a lender, broker and borrower, Lakeshield’s asset-first approach and willingness to look for solutions really stood out.

I’m looking forward to supporting brokers across the South West with a lender that understands real-world deals.”

Sophia Lee added:

“Lakeshield’s privately funded model and commercially minded decision-making were a big draw for me.

I’m excited to build relationships across London and the South East and help brokers deliver fast, practical outcomes for their clients.”
