John Bigley joins Zenzic Capital to enhance growing special situations and opportunistic credit capability

Zenzic Capital (“Zenzic”), the real estate credit and special situations investment manager, has announced that John Bigley has joined the firm as a Principal as Zenzic continues to expand its lending activity across its opportunistic credit, property development finance, and Zenzic Estate Planning Service (ZEPS) strategies.

John has over 30 years of real estate and debt capital markets experience and has been a Chartered Surveyor since 1997.

Previously he spent nine years as Principal at DRC Capital where he was involved in origination, structuring, execution, asset management and investor relations across Europe.

Prior to this he held senior positions at Westimmo, Merrill Lynch & Co and JP Morgan Asset Management.

At Zenzic, John will be utilising his deep experience and significant contact base to originate special situations and opportunistic credit deals across Europe.

He joins Zenzic’s London-headquartered team, which includes fellow Principal, Steve Swallow, a former East Lodge Capital partner.

Founded by Nadine Buckland and Tom-Lloyd Jones in 2014, Zenzic provides debt finance throughout the UK and Europe, supporting a number of different sectors including logistics, student accommodation, residential, hotels and leisure.

In January last year, Zenzic launched a £500 million UK purpose-built student accommodation strategy that invests in existing stock and is developing new assets.
