Charles Street Finance has added a field-based business development team as it pursues its ambitious plans to grow its loan book to £1 billion.
The fast-growing Cheadle-based lender has recruited three Business Development Managers (BDMs) to give representation for the brand across the UK.
The newly formed team reports to Carl Graham, Corporate Relationship Director, increasing the total workforce to 33 colleagues, who bring a wealth of finance solutions experience to the business.
Sabiha Moghal joins as BDM for the Midlands bringing more than 20 years of experience in supporting customers with access to funding through strong relationships with brokers, solicitors and accountants.
Sabiha’s previous roles include State Bank of India, HSBC and Lloyds TSB Finance and she has operated as a BDM in her past three positions.
Sabiha said:
“When the opportunity came to join the Charles Street team, I didn’t hesitate. The business has a strong ambition for growth in a region that, so far, has been untapped.
I am delighted to be able to introduce a fast flexible lender to my customers and contacts in the region.”
Lisa Seaton joins as BDM for Yorkshire, Humberside and the Northeast having worked in the position previously at the Co-operative Bank for Intermediaries.
Her experience also includes roles at Stonebridge Group, Tenet Group and Scottish Life. Leeds-based, Lisa will be responsible for a large footprint of northern business looking after clients also located in Scotland.
“It is such an exciting time to join Charles Street,” said Lisa. “The trajectory plans for the business demonstrate a real attitude to find solutions for commercial and personal finance customers.
Having previously worked in a broker-led environment I am keen to expand my reach to also work with direct customers.”
In London and the South, Victor Williams joins as BDM to build the brand’s presence in the region.
Bringing commercial real estate lending experience from Habib Bank AG Zurich, Metro Bank and Barclays with him to the role, Victor will be responsible for developing a funding pipeline and satisfying high demand for revolving credit facilities in the region.
Victor said:
“I’m impressed by Charles Street’s offer to provide brokers with flexibility and speed.
The business’s desire to find the right outcomes for its customers means that every case is judged on its merit with a strong appetite to find flexible funding solutions.
It’s a compelling offer for my customers and contacts in the South.”
Carl Graham, Corporate Relationship Director for Charles Street said:
“It is fantastic to recruit the first representatives of our field-based BDM team.
We know that the market is in need of a finance partner that can bring agility and a strong appetite to support clients from the reception that we have in the Northwest.
With Sabiha, Lisa and Victor on the team we are ready to mine opportunities and build long lasting relationships with customers and business partners across the UK.”
