Aspen Bridging promotes Saif Khalique to Director of Underwriting

Aspen Bridging has promoted Saif Khalique to the newly created role of Director of Underwriting, recognising his growing responsibilities and contribution to the business.

Khalique joined Aspen in December 2019 as part of the lender’s underwriting team through its Graduate Recruitment Scheme and quickly established himself as a key member of the business.

In 2023 he joined Aspen’s management team and has played an important role in the development of the underwriting function.

In February 2024 he was appointed Head of Underwriting following the completion of his Masters in Real Estate & Finance at Henley Business School.

In his new role as Director of Underwriting, Khalique will oversee the day-to-day operation and management of the underwriting team, contribute to strategic planning, support process development and lead wider training initiatives across the department.

As part of the wider management team he will also contribute to Aspen’s growth plans for 2026, with the business aiming to exceed £1bn in total lending since inception while maintaining high service and quality standards.
