Masthaven boosts sales team

Masthaven is pleased to welcome three new joiners to the team: John Smith, joins as National Account Manager for First Charge Mortgages, David Owen, and Wes Baker join Masthaven as Business Development Managers.

John Smith – National Account Manager, First Charge Mortgages. John began his career in the mortgage market at 16. After underwriting at Alliance & Leicester, he moved into a sales role at Platform Home Loans where he was shortlisted for Best BDM award at the 2010 British Mortgage Award’s before winning Young Achiever a year later. After 10 years with Platform Home Loans he joined Aldermore as a regional account manager and also helped launch Bluestone mortgages into the specialist mortgage market.

Wes Baker – Business Development Manager. Wes has worked in the financial services industry for 12 years, initially with Welcome Finance, managing combined teams of sales and collections and then at Evolution Money, starting in sales as an underwriter, progressing to become Business Development Manager. At Masthaven Bank he will be covering the North of England, focusing on helping key accounts and new partners increase volumes and productivity across the first and second charge arena.

David Owen– Business Development Manager. David has worked in the financial services sector for over 16 years, across both residential and commercial sectors. Starting his career at NatWest, as a cashier, he worked his way up to become a mortgage advisor. After 7 years he moved to Leeds Building Society where his roles included Branch Manager and Area Manager. For the past two years he has been working in the specialist lending sector as Business Development Manager at Together. At Masthaven he will be covering the West Midlands and South West of England working across the first and second charge arena.
