Loans Warehouse appoints Head of Bridging

Loans Warehouse have announced the appointment of Lee Carling as part of their ongoing plans to transform their bridging finance department into one of the biggest broker teams in the UK.

Lee will report to Co-Founder and Director Matt Tristram, who commented:

‘’In recent years we’ve seen the growth of the bridging market, last year alone new lending exceeded £534 million according to figures published in Bridging Trends from MT Finance. During this time we made a purposeful commitment to building an excellent bridging proposition to work along side our Second Mortgage team for which we are renowned. We have ambitious plans that have already begun to produce results and seen us winning and retaining several bridging awards in the industry. We knew we needed a figure head to take our bridging team to the next level and I believe Lee, a former Dragonfly (now Octopus) original has what we need to push our team.

Lee’s professionalism and skills gained from years within the bridging sector is what attracted us. The first thing I realised upon meeting Lee was his understanding of what makes a good bridging loan from not only a lenders point of view but from all parties, lender, broker and most importantly a customer. His knowledge and understanding of the product is as good as anyone I’ve ever worked with.

I’m personally excited at the plans we have set ourselves for growth in the next twelve months. We already write over £30,000,000 in bridging finance each year but that’s purely on the unregulated side. The plan for the next 12 months is to gain authorisation to carry out regulated bridging activity and this will be the driving force behind our targeted growth. Later in the year we plan to launch a new brand specific to bridging and cement our position as one of the finest in the bridging market”

Lee Carling , pictured, added:

“I was ready for a change and when the opportunity to join Loans Warehouse presented itself I knew I wanted to be a part of their team. I’ve worked with Matt over the years and have always been impressed by the quality of work they produce.

Whilst still new to the role I am really enjoying it. I have spent the first few weeks understanding the existing business practices and getting to know my new colleagues. Lee joins Loans Warehouse after having spent the last 3 years at West One Loans where he was Head of Servicing and as one of the original team at highly successful lender Dragonfly.
